The SQA (Software Quality Assurance) Analyst is responsible for the test design, estimates, execution and automation of new features, as well as correcting and enhancing existing test ware, in accordance with WennSoft development standards and project timelines.
The SQA Analyst will have business knowledge, testing knowledge, SQL skills, passion for creating quality software, and will continually look for ways to execute better.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the overall quality for a designated product or products, including the integration points. Participate in daily standups, grooming, design walkthrough, demonstration and retrospectives. Create and execute test plans for product functionality and report defects. Deliver test artifacts based on established timelines. Automate tests for fixed defects. Test data conversions and default data that is delivered as part of our implementation via tests or SQL statements comparing the data.
Track and escalate issues for time sensitive testing projects, as assigned. Test installs and upgrades; run, analyze, and maintain automated tests.
Responsible for service pack test plans. Track and escalate issues for service packs.
Leadership & Communication:
Provide updates on open product issues, projects, and automated test runs. Provide assistance to other SQA Analysts, Developers, Technical Writers, and Development Managers as needed, including assisting with setting up and running test systems; collaborate with Developers and Technical Writers to improve work throughout development.
Contribute improvements to current procedures and/or incorporating testing industry best practices into the existing testing model. Contribute to Development Policy Manuals.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED TOOLS AND TECHNOLOGY
- BS Degree in Accounting, Business or Computer related areas of study.
- A minimum of three years of experience testing business applications is preferred.
- Manual and Automated Software testing experience.
- Familiar with a variety of business concepts, practices, and procedures.
- Software upgrade & installation experience.
- Visual Studio 2010
- MS SQL Server, including SQL Server Reporting Services
- Web Services
Knowledge of, or ability to acquire knowledge of:
- WennSoft Signature Solutions
- Microsoft Dynamics Solutions, specifically: Dynamics GP 2010 and Dynamics Connector
- Perform a variety of complicated analytical tasks
- Write complex SQL query statements and analyze data in a table
- Perform analysis of existing test coverage and develop plans for coverage enhancements
- Review Technical Writing documentation for accuracy
